CONCERT LIGHTS TO CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
January 1, 2021
This year has been different for everyone. Kids have transitioned from learning at their desks to their kitchen tables. Parents left their cubicle for their couch. Everyone had to put their lives on hold and stay close to their love ones on zoom. For Joe Klamerus from JKL this year has been nothing but shocking. Normally he spends his year working on concerts and special events, but this year has been far from it. March was a stressful month for everyone especially the live event industry. The entire industry shut down overnight millions of people lost their jobs and 100% of their income. One of those people is Joe. He’s seen the whole roller coaster of Covid-19 from its ups to its downs. Knowing that it wouldn’t go away anytime soon he wanted to try and make something special for families to enjoy. When he realized that a Christmas light display was the one thing, he could do to bring joy to families. This year’s light display was the biggest he’s ever done. With over 25,000 lights and months of planning/programming he was able to create a spectacle in his front yard. The lights are programmed to 6 songs for a total of 20 minuets. After seeing how much joy this has brought to the community, he has decided to bring it back for years to come each year making it bigger.
